Archimedes Project is proud to announce a Partnership with Kuwa. Rapid urbanization in Kenya has created a widening income gap, and a rising population of residents living in slums. Kenya’s cities simply cannot accommodate the influx of people. Kuwa has identified this problem and thinks that something should be done about it. Their stance is that inclusive city planning and design is imperative for sustainable cities.

Kuwa acts on its mission by partnering with community members to address some of the cities most pressing urban design, policy, and planning issues. Their goal, to better the lives of Kenya’s poorest residents, is, for them, ubiquitous. With that crystalline focus, they are able to deal in the abstraction that is urban planning, whilst always keeping the humans that their decisions and actions effect at the forefront of their minds.

It is an honor for us to be able to work with Kuwa at our Ideation Lab in March! Join us and learn more.
