Archimedes Project is proud to announce a partnership with Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor. Since 2005 WSUP has undertaken the task of bringing water and sanitation to residents of informal settlements in sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia. Their work has focused on 6 countries: Bangladesh, Mozambique, Ghana, Zambia, Madagascar, and Kenya (the site of this year’s Ideation Lab).

WSUP uses three distinct approaches to achieve their goal. First, they operate programs in their 6 target countries. By forming close relationships with providers in these regions WSUP helps providers grow and see low-income residents as customers. Second, WSUP conducts research with an eye toward changes that can be made to improve access to water and sanitation for impoverished people. Finally, WSUP provides consulting services to other organizations seeking to broaden the impact of their water and sanitation initiatives. These three pillars allow WSUP to do the work it is committed to.

It is an honor for us to be able to work with Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor at our Ideation Lab in March! Join us and learn more.
